Group registration will be open until November 2, 2018. If you would like to register multiple attendees, please follow the directions below:
Group all the people that you are going to register that have the same basic registration option. The form automatically gives every additional registrant the same option as the first registrant. There is no way to change it.
- Begin by entering the first registrant’s email address and click “Next”
- Choose the appropriate registration option and click “Next”
- Fill out the information for the first registrant
- Click the “Add Guest” button at the bottom of the page.
- Enter the information for the second registrant and click “Done”
- Repeat this process until all registrants have been added. (There is no limit to how many “guests” a registrant can have.) Click “Next” to proceed to payment information.
If necessary, create additional groups who share the same basic registration option (different from the first group) and follow the same process for the additional group/s.

What items are covered in the registration fee?
Two great keynotes, engaging breakout sessions, breakfast, lunch, coffee/tea and afternoon snacks, publishers’ exhibits, door-prize drawing, and alumni events. All conference attendees will also receive a conference folder with CEUs, a program booklet, and other conference materials.
What items are not covered in the registration fee?
Thursday’s EL Coordinator meeting is not included in the registration fee. If you are interested in attending these meetings, you need to register separately. The cost is $79 per individual attending and you can register here.
What time does the keynote start?
Morning announcements and the introduction for the keynote speaker on Friday will begin at 8:30am. The keynote speaker will present from 9-10am.

I can't find my CEUs. How can I get a new copy?
All conference attendees will receive CEUs in their conference folders. Please keep track of your folders. If you lose your folder or CEUs, please contact MDE (firstname.lastname@example.org) for duplicate CEUs.
What items are not covered in the registration fee?
Thursday’s EL Coordinator meeting is not included in the registration fee. If you are interested in attending these meetings, you need to register separately.
What are the EL Coordinator meetings?
These meetings take place on Thursday and are organized by the Minnesota Department of Education.
The EL Coordinator's Meeting is for K-12 English Learner Program Coordinators from Minnesota school districts and charter schools. The meeting will include updates from the Minnesota Department of Education related to English Learner programming and assessment as well as policy issues and other initiatives impacting English Learners in Minnesota.
Do presenters need to register for the conference?
Yes. Presenters pay a reduced rate. No code is necessary-presenters may register using the designated category.
I registered for the conference but now I am unable to attend. May I receive a refund?
Refunds (less processing fees) will be given for requests made through November 2, 2018. Please contact the conference co-chairs if you need to cancel your registration. Refunds will not be given after November 2, 2018.
I made a mistake when I registered on-line. How can I correct it?

I need to register a group. How can I do this?
Groups of five or more from the same institution can register with a paper form before November 2, 2018. After the deadline, please follow the directions on the How to Register page.
I don’t like to share personal information, such as registration information, online. May I still attend the conference?
All registration will be online this year. All payment must be done on a credit card via the secure Stripe system. You do not need a Stripe account to securely make an online payment.
I wish to pay the discounted member/conference rate, but I already joined earlier this year. Can I still get the member/conference rate?
Yes. Log into the registration page using the same email address you became a member with. The system will recognize you as a member and unlock member registration prices for you.
If you need to renew your membership, please do so before registering for the conference to receive member prices.
Are grants or scholarships available to cover registration fees or memberships?
Up to 60 volunteers may receive registration reimbursement upon completion of 2 or 3 hour volunteer shifts during the conference. Volunteers will receive volunteer assignments via email around November 2nd.
To be eligible, applicants must fulfill one of the following roles: registration table, technology/room assistant, or silent auction table during the conference.
Interested volunteers need to register and pay for registration prior to volunteering at the conference. Eligible volunteers may receive reimbursement for conference registration for the day of the conference for which they volunteer upon completion of 2-3 hour volunteer shift.
Due to volume of interest, the number of reimbursements given to members of a single institution will be capped at 5-6 volunteers. Reimbursements will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Conference attendees traveling over 100 miles to attend the conference are invited to apply for travel scholarships up to $250, to be used for travel and accommodations. You must first register for the conference before applying for a scholarship. These limited scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis to MinneTESOL members only; priority will be given to applicants who have not used the scholarship within the past three years, but all are encouraged to apply!
First-Time Presenter Scholarship
In order to encourage participating from exciting new contributors to our conference, we are offering a scholarship for first-time MELEd presenters (who are also MinneTESOL members). Members presenting at MELEd* for the first time are invited to apply for this scholarship upon acceptance to present at the conference. Scholarship winners will register and pay for their conference fee and after participating in the conference, coordinate with the conference co-chairs to receive reimbursement for one day's registration costs.
*Members who have previously presented at MELEd, MinneTESOL, or MinneSLIFE are not eligible for this scholarship.
