In October, 1976, Kathleen Jacobson, Joyce Miller Biagini and Wendy Weimer called the first MinneTESOL Affiliate organizing meeting. On Dec. 7, 1976, the proposed constitution of the Minnesota Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages was approved and the first officers were elected:
