Effective Speaking and Writing Instruction K-12

Multilingual Learners often use social language when the task requires academic language. They benefit from explicit instruction in academic language output. Participants will learn approaches to supporting MLs to communicate proficiently using academic language. While the samples come from Grades 5 – 12, these approaches can be modified for the elementary school.
