“Story-Asking” in the Adult ESL Classroom; Making English Real for Adults with Limited or Interrupted Education ADULT ESL ED

“Story-asking” involves students in co-creating simple stories with the teacher, first orally and then in written form. It’s use in a beginning adult ESL classroom with preliterate English language learners is discussed. Participants will be given resources to explore the use of this process in their own classrooms.
