This session focuses on “easy-to-implement today” strategies to support educators in working with multilingual students that are new to the country. It explores the necessity of a radically inclusive learning community in order to meet newcomer needs. This session includes: a simulation, videos of instruction, stories from a student perspective, and several new strategies. This session is grounded in disrupting the Characteristics of White Supremacy Culture as identified by author Tema Okun.
