Adult Immigrant English Learners’ Perceptions of Their Multilingual and Multicultural Identities ABSENT NARRATIVES

How do adult immigrant ELs perceive themselves as multilingual and multicultural individuals? Can these perceptions be improved upon through direct intervention? These questions will be explored as we examine how a group of adult ELs view themselves in relation to their languages and their cultures. We will look at how these perceptions changed over time and discuss how short lesson interventions allowed the learners the opportunity to self-reflect on their identities.
