HIstorically and Culturally Responsive Framework for Teaching and Learning DUAL LANGUAGE BILINGUAL ED

This presentation is designed for educators who seek to enhance their teaching skills and bring equitable practices to emerging bilingual students. The course is grounded in the Culturally and Historically Responsive (CHR) framework of Gholdy Muhammad, which emphasizes recognizing and valuing students’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds and historical experiences. Through this presentation, educators will learn how to create a culturally and linguistically responsive learning environment that supports emerging bilingual students’ academic and social-emotional development. They will explore strategies for integrating students’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds into the curriculum and instructional practices. Participants will leave with ready-to-apply tools for lesson planning and instruction.
