Step by Step Bridge from L1 to L2: A Two Teacher Collaboration DUAL LANGUAGE BILINGUAL ED

This session teaches a BRIDGE for beginners (Beeman K. and Urow C., 2013) — a step by step approach engaging one language to learn content in another. This interactive presentation will introduce the bridge step by step, utilizing actions and visuals with gradual release of responsibility (and NO translation). Participants will see video clips of bridging and a simple contrastive analysis by teacher candidates in Spanish, Mandarin and Hmong.
